Grabill Windows & Doors Features Two CCA Projects

Its always a huge compliment to have our work featured on a colleague’s website, and this week Grabill Windows & Doors is featuring glass pivot doors with a few of our projects. Glass pivot doors were utilized on two recent contemporary homes that CCA designed on Red Mountain: Wrights Road and 355 Ridge. The clean and sophisticated window and door systems that Grabill creates, provide our clients with the durable and weather resistant products required in our mountain environment. The heavy duty extruded aluminum cladding contains over 90% recycled material, are built in the USA, and can be custom designed to work with any facade. All of this British Open talk reminds us of why we love designing golf clubhouses!

We have been fortunate enough to design two outstanding golf clubhouses in the Aspen area. Seeing footage of the British Open inspires us to do more! Aspen Glen Golf Clubhouse was designed within the Jack Nicklaus designed golf course and gated community. Offering high end dining, event space, ample outdoor seating, a pool, lavish locker rooms, gym and pro shop – the clubhouse with its unobstructed views of Mount Sopris, is home to local and visiting golfers alike. Want to play? For more information on the club, please visit their website.

By way of competition, CCA was engaged to design the Aspen Municipal Golf Course & Nordic Center which put the Aspen’s golf scene on the map. Rated the #1 municipal course in Colorado by Golfweek Magazine, the Frank Hummel designed course has outstanding views and top quality amenities. The facility doubles as the city’s Nordic Center in the winter, and is host to events year round. By utilizing rustic materials, traditional barn shapes with sophisticated detailing, the clubhouse is at home its rural/urban setting. Want to play? Visit the course’s website for tee times and rates.

Of course you can always see these projects and more at our website.

Proud to be the Architects for Mountain Rescue’s New Headquarters!

This morning, Mountain Rescue broke ground on its new headquarters on Highway 82 in Aspen. We are so proud to be the architects for such a worthwhile community asset.

“This is long overdue,” said Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo, who gripped a gold-plated shovel and took part in the ground-breaking. As sheriff, DiSalvo officially is the head of the search-and-rescue group.

A 13,900-square-foot building on the new headquarters property — formerly the Aspen location for Planted Earth Home and Garden Center — will allow the 50-member volunteer organization to move out of a cramped cabin on Main Street. The project is expected to be finished next spring.
