Trespa Features APD Housing in White Paper

Designing affordable housing that benefits the local community is an integral part of the CCA ethos, so we were excited when Trespa featured our latest project, APD Housing, in their recent White Paper.

Built adjacent to the Aspen Police Department which CCA also designed, the three-story building houses employees of the department. Recently earning LEED Gold, the exterior is made of Trespa Pura, a classic oak wood known for its sustainability, durability and weather resistance.

The abundance of large-scale windows surrounding the building provide stunning views: The units on the north look at Red Mountain and the untouched beauty of Hunter Creek; paradise for hikers and bikers. On the South, there is Aspen Mountain – Ajax, for locals – and on the East you can see the impressive Independence Pass.

“Aspen is prohibitively expensive for many year-round residents,” says Principal Charles Cunniffe. “It’s vital to build housing that the locals can afford.” Thank you to Trespa for the feature!

CCA wins Luxe Red Award

Each year Luxe Magazine selects their top projects to honor, and we are thrilled to be included among this year’s winners for the prestigious Luxe Red Award. CCA was recognized for a luxury bathroom we designed with one of the most breathtaking views of Aspen.

The bathroom, which features a Waterworks soaking tub that sit next to glass doors that open to a deck with mountain views, features Calacatta Vagli marble floors, countertops and shower bench.
