Karen's passion for architecture was ignited during a formative visit to an architect's office in Boulder, Colorado, during her 7th-grade year. Despite a childhood marked by frequent moves across Texas, Michigan, California, New Jersey, and New Hampshire, Karen's determination to pursue her dream remained unwavering. Returning to Boulder for college, she earned a Bachelor of Environmental Design from CU Boulder, followed by a Master in Architecture degree at SUNY Buffalo, where she specialized in 3-D design and Universal Design principles. Karen's career has flourished, marked by her involvement in several of CCA's top projects, where she delights in seeing clients' excitement as they visualize their homes through her three-dimensional renderings. Based in San Luis Obispo, California, she enjoys life with her Australian husband and two teenagers, cherishing the coastal lifestyle of hiking and beaches. Beyond architecture, Karen finds solace in exploring the coastline and enjoying wine country in the central coast region.
