The Paul JAS Center transforms the second floor above Aspen's historic Red Onion into a flexible performing arts venue that supports music, education, and community gathering. The design preserves significant historic character while introducing contemporary interventions that enhance acoustics, circulation, and audience experience.
Beyond the performance space, the venue includes a professional-grade recording studio, rehearsal and classroom configurations that support JAS education programs, artist green room, and a flexible gallery/event area.
The interior palette emphasizes warmth, material authenticity, and acoustic performance. Layered wood, metal, and textured finishes work in concert with upholstered seating and intimate lounge settings to create an inviting environment that supports both performance and social connection.
