Friday night is the annual American Institute of Architects Colorado West 2011 Design and Honor Awards Gala. This year’s event is being held at the Viceroy Hotel in Snowmass, Colorado. With submissions in for review, we’re hoping to again walk away with an award. Last year Charles Cunniffe Architects was awarded the 2010 Firm of the Year as well as a People’s Choice Award for the Little Nell Residence. This year the winners will be presented by Jury Chair Miguel Rivera, AIA, of Miró Rivera Architects (Austin, Texas). The gala will also include the presentation of the AIA Colorado West 2011 Honor Awards.
In addition to the gala, AIA Colorado West invites all of its members to attend a special continuing education program on green building strategies at the Pitkin County Library from 1:00pm to 4:30pm.
