In Need of a New Book? Veranda’s 2012 Design Book Reviews is Out!

Each winter our team at Charles Cunniffe Architects awaits Veranda’s Winter Book Review. We find inspiration in each publication, regardless the architectural style. Since our designs are client-centric, we are often asked to push the envelope in varying design styles. For this we turn to travel, books, art and sculpture.

This year’s Veranda Winter Book Review includes several compelling books: Eleanor Lambert: Still Here by John A. Tiffany, a name you might not recognize but she is the design inspiration behind Oscar de La Renta, Donna Karan and Calvin Klein, to name a few. In addition, Rooms by Katie Ridder, a fun and playful coffee table book with a lighter side. Frank Roop’s The New Bespoke illustrates how to meld differing textures to bring life to a room. The final book, Great American Homes by William T. Baker, highlights homes with families and entertaining in mind, including tips and friendly anecdotes.
